TWMA Conquers White Water Rafting Challenge for CHSS

TWMA Conquers White Water Rafting Challenge for CHSS

A team of eight from TWMA has successfully completed an exhilarating white water rafting challenge in aid of Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS).

The event on 19 March saw Tony McGregor, Lisa McGregor, Jess Ross, Amy Pilgrim, Sharon Skilling, Bruce Robertson, Jai Garrick and Tracey Milne embark on a three mile flat water race in an inflatable raft, before ‘shooting the rapids’ on the River Tay and some of the fastest white water in Scotland.

This was TWMA’s second year competing and the team secured  4th position with a time of 48 mins 46 seconds, managing to shave 30 minutes off last years’ time!

Accounts Payable Co-Ordinator and Raft Team Leader, Sharon Skilling said: “We had to raise a minimum of £1,000 to compete so we’re delighted to have reached our grand total of £1,202.73. It was physically demanding but also a lot of fun. We’re all delighted to have completed the challenge whilst raising such a fantastic total for Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland.”

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland improves the quality of life for people in Scotland affected by chest, heart and stroke illness, through medical research, influencing public policy and providing support in the community.

Well done team TWMA!
